Excel Charts Training

A picture is worth a thousand words! Instead of showing an audience a spreadsheet, show them a chart! In this Excel charts training you'll learn how to easily see trends, high and low points, and an overall picture of sales, expenses, and many other types of numerical data!

Who should attend this class?

Beginner to intermediate users of Excel. Knowledge of how to navigate Excel, basic text editing, and formatting skills are helpful. Formatting charts changed considerably from version 2010 to 2013/2016. If you are using Excel 2010 or earlier, you can still attend--just let the instructor know and she will discuss the modifications necessary for your version.

Where is this class held?

This is a live, online class led by a field expert; and just like an in-person class, it is fully interactive and engaging. The difference between an online and onsite class? No travel! You can participate from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Many of our students choose to stay home from work on these training days, some never even changing out of their slippers! Where applicable, students are able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other participants throughout the course as they work in real-time to complete activities.

  • Chart Vocabulary

Knowing what the different parts of a chart are called is vital, so you know exactly which part to modify!

  • Basic Bar Chart

  • Pie Charts

There are a few tricks you need to know about pie charts in order to have them work the way you want! We will discuss how to add percentage data labels, format one pie slice at a time, and pull pie pieces out to focus more on one data point.

  • Drawing

We will add arrows, text boxes, and circles to further enhance and draw attention to certain parts of our chart.
