QuickBooks Training: Memorize and Customize, in just one hour!

In this QuickBooks Training: Memorize and Customize class we will cover two important time-saving topics: Memorizing Transactions and Customizing Reports. Since so many of QuickBooks functions are repetitive, wouldn’t it be nice if you could save those bills or invoices from month to month so you didn’t have to fill in all the information all over again? Memorized Transactions save time, reduce mistakes, and can help increase bookkeeping accuracy. We will also cover how to customize the pre-made QuickBooks reports to display the way you want and then save them to reuse over and over.

Who should attend this class?

Intermediate users of QuickBooks desktop version. Knowledge of how to navigate through QuickBooks, including how to create bills and invoices are necessary. This is a demo class. You can follow along using your own company file, but we recommend making a backup copy of it first!

Where is this class held?

This is a live, online class led by a field expert; and just like an in-person class, it is fully interactive and engaging. The difference between an online and onsite class? No travel! You can participate from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Many of our students choose to stay home from work on these training days, some never even changing out of their slippers! Where applicable, students are able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other participants throughout the course as they work in real-time to complete activities.

Anyone who wants to learn more about the formatting of a website. All you need is a basic text editor such as Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac) and a browser. Knowledge of basic HTML codes is mandatory.

Topics covered include, but not limited to:

  • Create and modify Memorized TransactionsTerms

QuickBooks can memorize many different types of transactions including bills, checks/payments, invoices, and statement charges; even if the amounts vary from time to time. You can then specify whether you want to be reminded of this transaction in the future, or have QuickBooks automatically send or enter in the transaction.

  • Maintain and Organize your Memorized Transactions

Learn how to display the Memorized Transaction List to see all your recurring transactions where you can delete or automate the transaction.

  • Customize and Memorize Reports

You can customize both QuickReports and preset reports to control what fields display, the date ranges or other filters you want, headers and footers, colors, and fonts. And best of all, once you customize your report, you can then memorize it to use over and over again!

About Your Instructor

Rosemary McCracken is a computer trainer with over 25 years of experience in the classroom. She teaches all levels of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Outlook. In addition to Microsoft products, she also teaches QuickBooks, InDesign, HTML/CSS, and WordPress. Rosemary has a B.S. from James Madison University. She is Microsoft Office Expert Certified and is also a Certified Online Training Professional.
