Adding Interactive Videos to eLearning

Incorporating videos into eLearning projects is a great idea. It is widely accepted that videos provide a higher level of learner interest and knowledge retention than text and/or images alone. However, as awesome as they are, a core video limitation is a lack of learner engagement or interactivity. Sure, learners can stop, rewind, and fast-forward through most videos, but those abilities hardly equate to interactivity or engagement.

Beginning with Adobe Captivate 2019, you can create video eLearning courses with a high level of interactivity via knowledge checks, learner interactions, and more. You can insert bookmarks on the video timeline and jump to the marks from any point in the video or from other Captivate slides. You can also create overlays that will appear on the video. The overlay slides can be regular content slides or Knowledge Check slides.

Attend this live, online training course and learn how easy it is to add awesome interactive videos to your best-in-class eLearning.

Who should attend this class?

eLearning developers and managers who need to create virtual reality eLearning with Adobe Captivate 2019.

Where is this class held?

This is a live, online class led by a field expert; and just like an in-person class, it is fully interactive and engaging. The difference between an online and onsite class? No travel! You can participate from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Many of our students choose to stay home from work on these training days, some never even changing out of their slippers! Where applicable, students are able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other participants throughout the course as they work in real-time to complete activities.

Insert an Interactive Video: Learn how easy it is to add videos to an existing project and make the video (any video) interactive without the need for advanced programming skills. It’s literally find-and-open easy!

Add Bookmarks: You can use bookmarks to keep track of where you are in a video (useful if you’re working with a long video) or use them as jumping points.

Add Slide Overlays: Slide overlays are like sub-slides. You add them to a project like any other slides except they’ll appear over the video via simple actions. You can insert multiple types of overlay slides and control such features as opacity (the transparency of the overlays).

We were a bit spoiled to have Willam to ourselves for this particular event (and we made the most of it!) He's very knowledgeable and was kind enough to allow our group to go off the rails a bit for this session. We may not have been as seasoned as we should have been for this course, but he adapted beautifully to the circumstances and delivered very useful information in a context we could work with. I would gladly attend another session by Willam.
