QuickBooks Training: Desktop vs. Online--which is right for you?

QuickBooks is rated as one of the best accounting software programs for small businesses. There are two main versions of QuickBooks-the desktop version and the online version, and they differ in three key areas: pricing, features, and data accessibility. Join us for this QuickBooks training on Desktop vs Online to learn the differences between these versions and choose the one that is right for you.

Who should attend this class?

Small business owners, or those in a position to make a decision about which version of QuickBooks to use. This is a demonstration class, so you do not need to currently have the software to attend..

Where is this class held?

This is a live, online class led by a field expert; and just like an in-person class, it is fully interactive and engaging. The difference between an online and onsite class? No travel! You can participate from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Many of our students choose to stay home from work on these training days, some never even changing out of their slippers! Where applicable, students are able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other participants throughout the course as they work in real-time to complete activities.

Anyone who wants to learn more about the formatting of a website. All you need is a basic text editor such as Notepad (PC) or TextEdit (Mac) and a browser. Knowledge of basic HTML codes is mandatory.

Topics covered include, but not limited to:

  • Pricing

Even within each version, there are differing pricing levels depending on what features your business is actually going to need. We will review and summarize the pricing levels for each version.

  • Features

A quick overview of the layout and features of both versions will be presented. Inventory, working with bank records, and customizing reports are some of the key differences to be covered.

  • Data Accessibility

The online version allows you to access your data anywhere, anytime. However, that may not be necessary or desirable for your business!
