Create your own Captivate software simulations--we'll show you how to record them!

With Adobe Captivate, the ability to record just about anything you can do on a computer is as easy as clicking a Record button, pointing, clicking, and then stopping the recording process. Nevertheless, most Captivate newbies don’t realize that it’s possible to get more out of Captivate than a simple software demonstration. In reality, Captivate is as adept at creating highly interactive software simulations as it is at creating software demonstrations and video demonstrations. And you can almost always create an engaging, interactive simulation faster than a passive demonstration. Attend this session and you’ll learn how to create Captivate software simulations and demos, assessments, videos, and highly interactive simulations using little-known, but easy-to-use settings.

Who Should Attend?

  • eLearning developers who are new to Captivate
  • Managers, instructional designers, and others who need to understand Captivate
  • Anyone who is new to eLearning and needs to get started with Captivate

Where is this class held?

This is a live, online class led by a field expert; and just like an in-person class, it is fully interactive and engaging. The difference between an online and onsite class? No travel! You can participate from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Many of our students choose to stay home from work on these training days, some never even changing out of their slippers! Where applicable, students are able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other participants throughout the course as they work in real-time to complete activities.

Need something a little more personal?

We understand your team might have specific training needs and we would love to work with you. We offer both online and on-site instructor-led, fully customizable courses tailored to your training needs.

Topics covered include, but not limited to:

Recording a Demonstration

Software demonstrations allow you to capture any kind of screen action while adding such best-in-class eLearning features as a mouse pointer, captions, and highlight boxes.

Recording an Assessment Simulation

Demonstrations are great, but if you really want to engage the learner, simulations are a great way to go. Using an Assessment Simulation, your learner will be able to perform each step on their own… but in a simulated environment.

Recording a Training Simulation

Assessments allow your learners to interact with your eLearning. However, if you want to provide a more guided approach to training, a Training Simulation is just the ticket. You can include “hints” throughout your lesson that help learners get past sticking points in your simulation.

Recording a Hybrid Simulation

Demonstrations are awesome. And so are Training and Assessment simulations. However, all three modes have their weaknesses. Those weaknesses will be discussed, and you’ll create a Custom simulation that will allow you to create awesome interactive eLearning faster than ever.
