Drag and Drop in Adobe Captivate can be easy, fun, unique, and extraordinary. This class will start you out by introducing you to how to create a Drag and Drop in three easy steps from scratch and how to customize it using the out of the box options as well as advanced actions.

You can create an unlimited number of Drag and Drop activities using Adobe Captivate; it just takes imagination and knowing how to implement it. This class will not only provide ideas on how to develop creative Drag and Drop interactions, but how to go from simple to advanced/complex interactions.

Note: This class is very interactive; exercise files will be provided for Captivate 9 or newer. If you are using previous versions of captivate you can attend the class but exercise files will not be provided. A trial version of Captivate is fine and can be downloaded from www.adobe.com


Adobe Captivate: The Essentials or or Adobe Captivate Quick Start or similar experience mandatory.

This is a live, online class led by a field expert; and just like an in-person class, it is fully interactive and engaging. The difference between an online and onsite class? No travel! You can participate from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection. Many of our students choose to stay home from work on these training days, some never even changing out of their slippers! Where applicable, students are able to speak with and hear from the instructor and other participants throughout the course as they work in real-time to complete activities.

In this interactive class, you will be creating multiple Drag and Drop interactions. There are many different techniques and variables that can be used with either out-of-the-box or advanced features.

Topics covered will include some of the following:

  • Out-of-the-box Drag and Drop features

Use Captivates format, actions, and options to create various types of interactions and feedback including those with:

  • immediate right and wrong feedback
  • multiple correct drag objects in several drop targets
  • custom correct and/or incorrect audio feedback for each drop target
  • multiple correct answer combinations

  • How to use advanced actions to make Drag and Drop interactions more engaging

You’ll create Drag and Drop groups of drag sources and drop target answers going into the same drop target using multiple counts and an interactive Drag and Drop with the ability to Show Answers and Reset.

  • How to leverage multi-state object support for Drag and Drop interactions (Captivate 9 or newer only)

You’ll learn how to effectively use multiple states within Drag and Drop actions.
