Course Objectives
This class is designed for the more advanced Illustrator user and covers the following:

Working with Type. Add and format type on a poster, includes text wrap, text on a path, defining multiple columns, paragraph styles and more.

Working with Layers. Use layers to organize your Illustrator projects.

Blending Shapes and Colors. Create gradient swatches and smooth-color blends, along with blended shapes.

Working with Brushes. Use the four default brushes (Art, Calligraphic, Pattern and Scatter) plus the new Blob Brush. And then learn how to create your own.

Applying Effects. Create objects with Texture, Warp, 3D Effects and more.
- Applying Appearance Attributes and Graphic Styles. Enhance the basic design for a Web page by applying appearance attributes and Graphic Styles to the type, background and buttons.

About Your Instructor
Barbara Binder started in the publishing field in 1986 with PageMaker's first release for Windows. She has been delivering corporate training as a free-lance instructor since 1987, mostly in the Washington, D.C area. In 2005, she moved to the foothills west of Denver to escape the congestion and the craziness of life "inside the Beltway."
In addition to being the owner of Rocky Mountain Training near Denver, Colorado, Barb holds current Adobe certifications on Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, PhotoShop and InCopy. As an Adobe Certified Instructor with more than 20 years of classroom experience, she is ready to deliver the training needed to help you improve your publishing workflow.
