If you can imagine it, you can probably build it with Adobe Captivate 9! You’ll experience a completely different workflow for applying effects. And you can easily create awesome (not to mention, fully responsive!) effects using states and motion paths with or without advanced actions.

This class will start you out by introducing you to how to use multiple state objects and why they are so awesome. Then we’ll dive into how to use click based interactions by converting interactive or non-interactive objects to multi-state objects. Next you’ll learn how to create an interactive Slide show, you can loop multiple states of an object to create interactive slide shows on one slide with one object. You can also create an unlimited number of states for any object in Adobe Captivate 9.

You can easily customize the states for Drag sources and Drop targets, based on learner interaction and provide feedback, by altering the state of the drop targets to reflect whether an answer is correct or not. You’ll also learn how to create a title page animation just by applying multiple motion path effects. During class, we’ll create a moving wheel effect using motion paths in a responsive project.

This class is very interactive; exercise files will be provided for Captivate 9 only. If you are using previous versions of Captivate you can attend the class but exercise files will not be provided.

Adobe Captivate: The Essentials or similar experience mandatory.

Developing a title page animation directly in Captivate

Modify timing of objects and effects to create an opening ‘splash’ page animation.

Creating moving object effects with motion paths

Apply motion path effects to an object and change the state of the object on the go.
