Per your request, below is a collection of labs that will challenge the skills you have learned during lessons presented in our workbooks.

Desktop Publishing Labs

You can create these projects in all versions of QuarkXPress, PageMaker or InDesign.

Instructions for use: Click the link for the project's PDF to see the finished project (you will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to open the PDF). We recommend you print the PDF, and keep it close by. Use your desktop publishing application to recreate the layout. There are many ways to succeed... your goal would be to create the project to the best of your ability... in the most efficient manner possible.

Attempt to honor the layout as much as you can, but your layout does not have to match exactly. When it comes to colors, you are on your own (so long as you use CMYK colors and not RGB). Page sizes and margins are also up to you.
